About Elizabeth Allan Kellam

Beth has had many lives. A classical music student, a Vietnam-era military wife, a corporate marketing researcher, a founder of two businesses and now a writer living in Cape Cod and St. Augustine. She has long been captivated by the hidden truths in music history. “Chopin’s Last Manuscript” is her debut novel, the first in a planned series that explores the lives and artistic struggles of legendary composers and musicians. The novel brings the story to life by allowing readers to listen to musical compositions and performances while reading. Find out more about this "immersive listening experience" at our Home page at The Sound of Genius.com. Like her grandfather, Herbert S. Allan, author of "John Hancock, Patriot in Purple", Beth is obsessed with the lives of historically important figures. Inspired by her concert pianist grandmother, Elise Romeo, she is fascinated by the personalities of genius composers and musicians. Her writing searches for a deep understanding of where the inspiration and talent comes from, and how it shapes their lives. Following in the footsteps of her father, Lincoln Allan, she developed a number of pioneering research methods for advertising, and became an entrepreneur. Beth is never happier than when she is sitting under the umbrella on the deck overlooking Cape Cod Bay with a fuzzy cat on her lap, listening to classical music.
